British Defense Secretary Michael Fallon said Wednesday that China has the key to resolving North Korea’s nuclear crisis and must do more by using its influence and pressure tools in dealing with its neighbor.
“China has the key, the oil flowing into North Korea comes from China,” Fallon told the BBC. “China has not only influence but many of the pressure tools necessary to change North Korea’s behavior.”
“The US defense secretary, Jim Matisse, and I and others in the administration have no ambiguity about what we need to make every possible diplomatic effort to control the current situation, which means intensifying work in New York over the coming days for a new UN resolution.
