FIFA draw date European qualifying for the 2018 World Cup on October 17

The European Football Association (FIFA) announced Wednesday that the draw for the 2018 World Cup qualifier will be withdrawn on October 17, and the supplement for the qualification of four other European teams to the World Cup, along with the qualifying teams directly through the qualifiers.

FIFA said the draw in Zurich would see the eight teams competing in the annex split into two levels, each with four teams.

The division is based on the FIFA rankings for football teams in its October 16 edition. The draw will be followed by a draw from the first level to another level 2 round and round on November 9th and 14th.

The eight European teams are competing for the second place in the nine European qualifiers, with the group leaders heading directly to the finals.
