Person hijacking a freight train in Poland

An elderly man has hijacked a cargo train from the station in the city of Khotomov in the Polish province of Mazowiecki, Russian state television reported on Friday.

A man broke into the trailer at 4 am and threatened the driver with violence against him and forced him to run the train and leave the area, she said.

After the train arrived at the Legionovo station, the hijacker left the locomotive and the driver informed the police of the incident, which arrested the 35-year-old suspect hours after his escape.

The detainee was then transferred to hospital where he passed a test to determine the proportion of alcohol and narcotic substances in his blood. The police began questioning him to determine the motives and reasons for the crime
