World News: East London stabbing – man believed to be 18 knifed to death in Forest Gate in capital’s 60th killing

COPS are investigating another fatal stabbing of a teenager in London – marking the capital’a 60th knife death this year.

Police were called to Chestnut Avenue,  in Forest Gate, shortly after 10.50pm on Monday night along with London Ambulance Service and paramedics from London’s Air Ambulance.

The victim – believed to be an 18-year-old man – was pronounced dead at the scene at 11.30pm. Officers are now in the process of informing the next of kin.

The ‘crime scene’ has now been sealed off by the police, however there has been no arrests at this early stage.

In a seemingly unlinked incident cops were called to Head Street in Limehouse, Tower Hamlets, at 3.18pm today and found the 17-year-old male suffering from multiple wounds.

The victim was taken to a nearby east London hospital for treatment. His condition is not thought to be life threatening. Another teen was treated for head injuries.

Officers say no arrests have been made in connection with the attack and enquiries are ongoing. A police cordon remains around the scene of the bloody attack.

The incident happened very close to St John Cass secondary school on Stepney Way.

An London Ambulance Service spokesman added: “We were called to Head Street to reports of a stabbing.

“We sent two ambulances, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer.

“We took a teenage boy to a major trauma centre as a priority. A second teenager was treated at the scene for a head injury.”

Earlier today we reported how a man was stabbed to death in the first of two knife killings in London as more knife violence rocked the capital.

Police were scrambled to Colindale, North London just before 6pm yesterday and found the man, named locally as Raul Nicolaie, suffering stab wounds.He was rushed to hospital but sadly couldn’t be saved.

A woman in her 20s has been arrested and police say they are believed to be known to each other.

His death came just half-an-hour before a woman in her 30s was stabbed to death in Brixton, South West London, just after 6.30pm.

A man in his 20s has been arrested over the death and remains in custody.
