World News: Israel launches air strikes in Gaza strip in response to ‘Hamas machine gun hearth’

ISRAEL has launched airstrikes within the northern Gaza strip after killing dozens of Palestinians earlier this week.

The Israeli Defence Power (IDF) has confirmed it launched the missiles at Hamas “terror targets” in a single day on Wednesday in response to “machine gun hearth”.

Tel Aviv mentioned bullets have been fired from throughout the troubled Gaza border that struck a number of properties within the Israeli metropolis of Sderot.

An IDF spokesperson tweeted: “A short time in the past, IAF fighter jets struck Hamas terror targets in northern Gaza.

“four of the targets have been buildings & terror infrastructure in a army compound, & three extra have been in a weapons manufacturing facility.

“The strikes have been carried out in response to the heavy machine gun hearth that focused town of Sderot, southern Israel, & quite a few capturing assaults all through the day.”

The alleged “terror targets” included a Hamas army base and weapons manufacturing facility, the IDF confirmed.
